About SAPA Limpopo

Who are We?

SAPA is an organisation for Principals and Deputy Principals. Our main focus is on public schools but do accommodate private or independent schools. We are active in all 9 provinces and each province runs its own programmes but report to national quarterly.

Background

SAPAs establishment was Initiated by Rinah Snesing from Gauteng. Launched 17 July 1995 in Somerset WC and aim-to bring all public school principals under one umbrella to share expertise and support for each other.

Mission Statement

We, as members of SAPA, recognise and acknowledge our role as educational managers and leaders, and through our collective and professional conduct at local, provincial and national levels, strive to excel in our tasks through self-development and interaction.

Objectives

Provides opportunities for the professional development and Facilitates communication and mentorship among educational leaders. It’s main objective is to recognises and promotes the role of our members in their schools and communities.

Achievements

2015 NEC revived the negotiation of having SAPA seconded at DBE, Minister Motshekga welcomed SAPA in 2015 and agreed to second SAPA leadership to EMGD unit for 2 years. The agreement was to hold quarterly meetings with Senior Management including Minister.
